Wonderful story, I certainly hope you still have him. Reading this reminds me of Ivory, and her beautiful litter of puppies all those years ago. Barren is every bit as beautiful, I really like the white stripe down his chest. Be sure and post some follow up pics, I know he has a wondeful home now and will spend his lifetime thanking you for saving him!

For support vs opposition I used simple majority. I ignored years with divided party control. There were 5 sets of data with split congress. (I didn't ignore those sets for presidential data, just house/sentate data).

What definition are you using for congressional Support vs Opposition? How are you classifying years with divided party control between houses?

What about the up-to 15.3% additional fica/seca for oasdi & hi and/or additional local taxes for subclass cities? Get 1/3rd of your own money and then still have to pay sales/excise/license/property/registration/etc tax and fees with what's left – DUDE!
