mytrade will soon be moving the mylinks pod from “under construction” to live and ready to go :)

This pod is one of the absolute essentials. It allows users to make a whole page (or just a part of it) filled with links they go to every day. If you set up your first mytrade tab with your most clicked links, you can set mytrade as your default IE/firefox page. Then when you bring up a new browser, you can just click where you want to go. Its a smart way to replace the old Favorites menu. Its quick, easy and very editable. Add/delete links and move them up or down. Make a pod just for your financial links and color that pod green. Make a pod to track your favorite sports team links and make it their team color. Have 1 links pod or 10.

I love this pod and am looking forward to more user feedback on it :)

Check out mine. It’s pretty simple:

(i marked all over it so you can see what’s what)

So I have 5 links pods: email, money, businesses, search/info and fun. Then I have a chart pod of a stock im trading, MVIS, and a market summary pod so I can quickly see what the markets are doing. On the right i have the wallstrip pod, so I can watch each day’s wallstrip episode. When I want to check out my favorite blogs, I just click the “Daily Reads” tab I made. There I have rss feeds from my favorite blogs.

After I made this page, all I had to do was copy the URL from the top right (“link to this layout”) and use that as my default home page in IE/firefox. Now when I launch a browser, this pops up.

mytrade is a work in progress, and here are the current problems:
page load time: Right now we’re doing so much debugging and testing the load time suffers quite a bit. That will be fixed soon.
RSS Links: They need an option to link TO the blogs–that’s in queue to be added :)

Check out the actual page here:

And feel free to make your own. Remember, the page will remember all changes you make and be ready for next time.
