I have not made up my mind completely. As you may know, fiscal policy and taxes are by far the most important issues to me. Generally I believe in a small government, low taxes and personal freedom. I consider myself a libertarian and am considering voting for the libertarian nominee for president, Bob Barr.

Obviously my choice is between McCain and Barr. I’m no fool, I know a vote for Barr is a wasted vote, in this election.

However, I would absolutely LOVE to see a 3+ party debate in 4, 8, or 12 years.

Recent polls suggest that Barr will ‘steal’ 3% of the vote from McCain, which could be enough in a very tight race to tip the scales in favor of Obama. I can only hope that doesn’t happen….

But when I think about what it means to be American, to have the right to vote for what I believe in, to have my beliefs count towards shaping this country, I feel obligated to vote for the party that matches my beliefs on most issues, the Libertarians.

I will continue to debate this vote in the coming month. Until then, feel free to learn a little about Bob Barr and the Libertarian viewpoints:

After completely seeing eye to eye with you on 'personal time valuation', I wasn't surprised to learn that we share
the same presidential candidate as well. I was disappointed though, because I've always been the
Libertarian supporter in group conversations and am ticked that I may have to compete with you at
common functions as the Libertarian guy. Go States Rights!!!
