Viral marketing is key. Everytime I need directions to drive somewhere, I use Yahoo’s directions tool. Why? Because I have been using it for years and I am a laggard. Well, that may change, simply because I was made aware of a competitor. I didn’t see an ad that drove me to this discovery, a friend of mine forwarded me a funny email:

 1. Go to Google

2. Click on “Maps”

3. Click on “Get Directions”

4. Type “New York” in the first box (the “from” box)

5. Type “London” in the second box (the “to” box)

6. Click Get Directions

7. Scroll down to step #23 and read the instructions

Obviously google put this together and its working great. How many people are discovering that google has driving directions now?
